How to find out which airlines fly to ....?
When we look for cheap flights, we usually spend a long time sifting through different options. Often we try to fly at least part of the route with a budget airline.
But to build a route map, you'll have to spend more than an hour, or even a day, at the computer.
Fortunately, for budget-conscious travelers, there's a wonderful resource: www.flightconnections.com. It will show and tell you which airlines, including low-cost carriers, fly to your desired destination. Now planning your trip has become even easier!
Flight options will appear on the left side of the screen:
shows only direct flights.
- flights with one stop.
- flights with two stops
- start a new search.
We see that for this route, direct flights are operated only by Aeroflot airline on Tuesdays and Fridays.
If you click on the button - "flights with one stop", a list of connecting flights will appear.
In the "flight path" window, you will see a list of transfer options, and just below, the airlines that fly this route.
For example, you can fly to Tenerife with a stopover in Dresden. The travel time is indicated to the right, in parentheses, in this case - 7 hours 45 min. You will fly the first leg of the route, Moscow-Dresden, with Aeroflot. This flight operates on Sun, Mon, Wed, and Fri. The second leg, Dresden - Tenerife, is with Air Berlin, which flies to the Canary Islands only on Wednesdays. Consequently, the Moscow - Tenerife flight with a stopover in Dresden operates only on Wednesdays. Among the flight options, flightconnections.com also shows budget airlines. However, keep in mind that the website displays two different flights. Airlines may not have agreements, especially with budget carriers.
This means you will have two separate tickets, and at the transfer point, you will have to go through check-in again, collect and re-check your luggage.
Therefore, calculate your connection time correctly. If the first flight is canceled or delayed and you miss the second one because of it, no one but you will be responsible for it.
If the time between connections is short, it's better to buy tickets on Kupi.com from airlines that have a codeshare agreement. In this case, if a flight is delayed, you will be transferred to another flight and, although delayed, you will reach your destination.
Note that the "Search from airport" window looks for flights from and to a specific airport. If you enter, for example, MOW or Moscow into the form, the flight search will be performed from the airport specified by default - SVO (Sheremetyevo).
If you need a flight from a specific city and it doesn't matter which airport, switch to the "Search from zip, city" tab, but here you need to enter the city name, IATA codes are not always correctly recognized.
