Sometimes, even in economy, you can feel like a business class passenger. Don't believe it? Just take a look at the dishes offered by some airlines in their economy classes.
Alaska Airlines

Menu by Peter Gordon: red wine, braised beef, blue cheese polenta, and green beans. Peter specializes in a mix of Asian, Pacific, and European cuisine and owns the Dine restaurant at the SKYCITY Grand Hotel in Auckland.
American Airlines
On domestic flights lasting more than three hours, passengers are offered a hearty salad for $9.49: chicken strips with romaine lettuce, bacon, corn, blue cheese, and fresh tomatoes.
Austrian Airlines
On long-haul economy flights, for an additional €15, Viennese schnitzel and a chocolate mousse dessert are served.
Cathay Pacific
The economy class menu includes Hong Kong-style curry chicken with stewed jasmine rice and salad, and ice cream for dessert. Additionally, hot snacks, such as ramen noodles, are served to passengers during the flight.
Delta Air Lines
Economy Comfort passengers on transcontinental flights from New York to Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco are offered free sandwiches and delicious frozen strawberry yogurt.
Hawaiian Airlines
On all Hawaiian Airlines flights, economy class passengers are served Hawaiian cuisine dishes, including loco moco — white rice, a meat patty in sweet and sour sauce, a fried egg, and vegetables.
JetBlue
The American low-cost carrier's menu includes not only sweet and savory treats but also healthy dishes, such as a fluffy kale salad with beans, quinoa, dried blueberries and cranberries, grapes, and fresh tomatoes.
LAN Airlines
Economy class passengers are offered lasagna with Argentinian Malbec wine by Chef Hugo Pantana, and vanilla flan for dessert.
TAM
The Brazilian airline offers ravioli with locally produced wine as a main course, and a traditional dulce de leche cream cake for dessert.
Virgin America
The American airline offers economy class passengers Spanish tapas. The menu changes seasonally but often includes fresh salads, mozzarella with roasted tomatoes and capers, artichoke and chickpea salad, and dessert.
