February Event Calendar
February can be considered the true start of the year, as January is always marked by holidays, Christmas trees, and gifts. But in the next month, a full-fledged course of events begins, including exhibitions, lectures, and festivals without a New Year's theme. So it's a good time to buy tickets to Moscow on Kupi.com or go to St. Petersburg for the weekend. And we've already found things to do!

Moscow
Exhibition "Dream in a Museum"
Not just an "exhibition," but a whole "multi-sensory experience, with elements of surrealist painting and performative installation." Here, art once again expands its boundaries, this time shifting into the realm of somnology, psychology, and neurophysiology, inviting guests to change their perception of reality. You'll have to engage all your senses to fully go through the prepared scenario and combine surrealist painting, olfactory tools, sound design, multimedia technologies, holography and smart fabric nanotechnologies, psychological practices, and current somnology research in your perception. Sounds complex, but interesting!

Exhibition "Tatlin. Construction of the World"
A large-scale event for the 140th anniversary of the birth of artist Vladimir Tatlin. The 20th-century avant-garde theorist had a huge influence on the development of art, which can be traced through the exhibits collected at the exhibition: graphic works, sketches, drawings, photographs, and reconstructions, such as the famous, never-built Tatlin's Tower, which anticipated the development of kinetic architecture.

Venue: Zotov Center, Khodynskaya, 2, bldg. 1

Exhibition "Arctic. Pole of Color"
This project shatters the myth of the North as a lifeless icy desert, proving that the region is full of incredible colors: from pink sunsets to emerald ice. The large-scale project covers four centuries of research and unites science with art, inviting viewers to journey from the first romantic travels to harsh polar expeditions. The exhibition features works by masters captivated by the magic of permafrost – Konstantin Korovin, Valentin Serov, Alexander Borisov, and Tyko Vylka, who found the richest palette and deep inspiration in Arctic landscapes.

Exhibition "Step from the Pedestal: Sculpture in Real Space"
Two floors of the museum are dedicated to the exhibition, so allow ample time for viewing. The exhibition invites viewers to rethink the interaction of plastic art with the surrounding world, building a dialogue between masters of Moscow and St. Petersburg of the XX–XXI centuries. The exhibition, designed by the renowned architect Yuri Avvakumov, combines rare monumental sculpture with works by contemporary artists and paintings by legendary nonconformists. Here, the classical forms of Mikhail Anikushin and Evgeny Rotanov coexist with installations by Alla Urban and canvases by Erik Bulatov, clearly demonstrating how art overcomes museum distance and becomes part of a living, real space.
