What tourists need to do upon returning to Russia to avoid a fine
As soon as the first foreign countries opened, Rospotrebnadzor established rules for tourists returning to Russia. However, in light of recent events, these rules have been slightly updated. To avoid a fine, read our article – we will tell you how many tests you need to take and how much time you have for it.
Two tests
Yes, since May 1, 2021, everyone entering the territory of Russia – whether foreigners or Russians – must take two tests. The first within three days, the second no earlier than 24 hours later. A total of five days are given for this.
Life hack. To make it faster and easier, the first PCR test can be taken directly at the airport upon arrival, and the second already in a laboratory or by calling a team to your home.
What needs to be done:
- While still abroad, fill out the form Registration of arrivals in the Russian Federation on the Gosuslugi portal. Failure to fill it out may result in a fine, which might not come immediately, but when you have already forgotten about it.
- Upload the results of both PCR tests to the Gosuslugi website within five days.
*Failure to submit tests results in a fine – up to 40,000 rubles per person.
