Opened in 1998, the arena can accommodate approximately 8,000 spectators. Thanks to its versatility, the World Arena serves as a home for hockey games, figure skating competitions, world-class concerts, exhibitions, and other large-scale events. It is a place where sporting excitement meets vibrant shows, creating unforgettable experiences for every visitor.
Interestingly, the complex was originally named the "Colorado Springs World Arena." However, in April 2014, following an agreement with the Anschutz Entertainment Group and the owners of the famous resort The Broadmoor, the arena was officially renamed the Broadmoor World Arena. This name also references the historic Broadmoor World Arena, which delighted audiences from 1938 to 1994 on the grounds of The Broadmoor resort, continuing the proud tradition of hosting significant events in Colorado Springs.
