The Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo is a unique private zoo located on Whittington Avenue in Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA. It is one of the oldest tourist attractions in the region, with a history that began in 1902, making it a true witness to the past and a popular destination for visitors of all ages.

The main pride of the farm, of course, are the alligators, which can be seen here up close, though the farm itself does not currently breed them. In addition to the exciting display of these ancient reptiles, there is a small but curious museum on the farm grounds. It features a collection of taxidermied alligators, as well as a gift shop where you can buy souvenirs. Of particular interest to visitors is a mummified carcass, allegedly belonging to a "merman"—an exhibit worthy of a Ripley's Believe It or Not collection.
But it's not just the alligators and unusual museum pieces that attract tourists. In the main alligator enclosure, there is a small but touching monument—a headstone for a fox terrier. This dog tragically died at the jaws of the alligators on this very spot in 1906. This memorial adds not only historical character but also a touch of poignant uniqueness to the site, serving as a reminder of the farm's long and sometimes dramatic history.
