Services and Amenities

The station offers passengers a basic set of services for a comfortable wait for their train.

The building features an indoor waiting hall with seating and climate control. Ticket counters (during daytime hours) and Quik-Trak self-service kiosks are available for purchasing and printing tickets. Free Wi-Fi is available to passengers. The station also has clean restrooms and drinking fountains. Special areas and boarding assistance are provided for citizens with limited mobility.

Where to Eat

Dining options directly inside the station building are limited: there are vending machines with beverages and snacks for a quick bite.

However, thanks to the proximity to the city centre, passengers can find excellent options nearby. Just a few minutes' walk away (in the Merchants Square district), there are numerous cafes, bakeries, and restaurants. There, one can find everything from morning coffee with pastries to a full meal. The average bill in nearby cafes is 10–20 dollars.

Station History

The history of the station building dates back to the early 20th century. The structure was originally built in 1935 as a freight depot for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway.

In the late 1990s, city authorities purchased the building and conducted a major renovation, transforming it into a modern passenger Transportation Center. The project preserved the historic appearance of the brick structure, harmoniously blending it with the architectural style of the colonial city. Today, the station plays a key role in the tourist infrastructure, connecting the past and the present.
