Please note: permission for a refund due to passenger illness is always granted by the airline; the agent only processes the official request to the carrier. We ask that you provide supporting documents that fully meet the airline's requirements. If the passenger's documents do not meet the requirements, we will not be able to send them to the airline: this is prohibited.

To request a ticket refund due to illness, you will need to provide a set of documents. Please select one of the document lists below and send us color photos or scanned copies of the documents. The maximum period for submitting and reviewing medical documents with Pobeda Airlines is 90 days from the flight departure date on the ticket.

The following sets of documents are accepted from employed citizens:

  • A closed paper sick leave certificate (original or notarized copy) + a medical certificate of contraindications to flying with a period of validity covering the dates on the ticket.

  • A closed electronic sick leave certificate (printed, certified with a stamp, seal of the medical institution, and doctor's seal) + a numbered certificate from the medical institution confirming the issuance of an electronic sick leave certificate, indicating its number and contraindications to flying for the period covering the dates on the ticket.

The following sets of documents are accepted from unemployed citizens:

  • A sick leave certificate issued to a parent/guardian for the care of an unemployed Client + a medical certificate of contraindications to flying for the period covering the dates on the ticket.

  • A medical certificate with contraindications to flying on the departure date and indicating why a sick leave certificate was not issued, + a document confirming the Client's status (student, unemployed, self-employed, pensioner).

In case of illness of a child for whom a ticket has also been issued, the following are accepted:

  • A medical certificate with contraindications to flying on the departure date + a sick leave certificate for child care issued to one of their parents (guardians/relatives).

The medical certificate must necessarily include:

  • date of onset of illness;

  • the period of illness relative to air travel, including the flight dates on the ticket;

  • full name and signatures of responsible persons, date of document issuance;

  • personal seal of the doctor (attending physician or chief physician) – usually a round seal “DOCTOR”;

  • seal of the medical institution, the impression of which contains the full name and details of the medical organization that issued the document.

If family members were planning to fly with the sick person

To refund tickets for close relatives, you must send a document confirming kinship (marriage certificate, birth certificate, divorce certificate — depending on the family relationship and passengers' surnames). 

According to the Family Code of the Russian Federation, close relatives and family members include: spouses, parents and children (adoptive parents and adopted children), grandparents and grandchildren, full and half-siblings.

What else is important to consider

All impressions on documents must be clear, and entries — understandable and easily readable.

All documents must be scanned or photographed in color, good quality, and without extraneous objects in the frame.

All documents are accepted for consideration in Russian or with an official translation into Russian.
