Before familiarizing yourself with the specifics of ticket refunds for Red Wings airline, please read the article on general airline requirements. All of them must also be observed to guarantee the consideration of your request.

Please note: permission for a refund due to passenger illness is always granted by the airline; the agent only processes the official request to the carrier.
We ask that you provide supporting documents that fully meet the airline's requirements. If the passenger's documents do not comply with the requirements, we will not be able to send them to the airline: this is prohibited.

*Involuntary refusal of carriage by a passenger is recognized as a refusal in case of illness of the passenger or a family member or close relative traveling with them on the aircraft, which is confirmed by medical documents and documents confirming kinship (if necessary), provided that the carrier is notified before the end of the established check-in time for the flight specified in the ticket (the booking must be canceled no later than 40 minutes before departure). 

In this case, a refund is made based on the following documents:

— medical certificate;
— sick leave certificate (certificate of incapacity for work), certified by the signature and personal seal of the attending physician / chief physician / head of department or by the signature of an official (HR department / accounting / manager) and the seal of the organization specified as the place of employment;
— discharge summary from a medical institution (hospital) with hospitalization dates;
— additionally, documents confirming the degree of kinship are attached (for a family member or close relative traveling with the passenger).

Requirements for medical documents confirming the impossibility of air travel due to illness:

— presence of a clear, easily readable copy of the document;
— presence in the medical document of a clear and readable name of the institution that issued this document;
— presence of the details of this institution;
— presence of the seal of the institution that issued the medical document;
— clearly readable position, full name of the person who issued the document, personal seal and signature of the attending or chief physician;
— presence of the issue date of the medical document;
— correspondence of the illness dates indicated in the medical document with the travel dates. 

In the absence of at least one requirement, an involuntary refund is prohibited.

Requests for involuntary refunds due to medical reasons are not considered if the booking cancellation was made more than one day before the start date of the passenger's illness (hospitalization), confirmed by documentation.

An involuntary airline ticket refund is prohibited if medical procedures (hospitalization, operations, etc.) were known to the passenger in advance. Pregnancy is recognized as an illness only if there are medical contraindications, confirmed by a medical certificate issued by the attending physician and certified by their personal signature and the seal of the medical organization.

Illness of a passenger's family member or relative is recognized as a reason for an involuntary airline ticket refund only if they are traveling together on the same Red Wings JSC flight with the passenger. In this case, documents confirming kinship must be attached. Documents confirming kinship are a document (or set of documents) that allows for the unambiguous establishment of the required family ties.

Documents must be in Russian. If the document is presented in a foreign language, the passenger must provide a notarized copy of the translation.
