One of the following medical documents is considered to confirm a passenger's forced refusal of carriage:

• Medical institution certificate (original);

• Airport medical center certificate (original);

• Electronic sick leave certificate (hereinafter referred to as ESLC)

  • or a coupon with the ESLC number, printed and certified by the signature of an official and the seal of the organization at your place of work (study);

  • or a coupon with the ESLC number, certified by the doctor's signature and the seal of the medical institution;

• Medical commission protocol;

• Epicrisis;

• Medical commission conclusion.

Requirements for medical documents

For the original medical institution certificate:

• The medical document must contain a clear and legible name of the medical institution that issued it;

• Presence of the institution's details;

• Presence of the seal of the institution that issued the medical document;

• Clearly legible position and surname of the person who issued the document;

• Presence of the signature of the person who issued the document;

• Presence of the signature, seal of the head of the department, or the chief physician of the institution that issued this medical document;

• Presence of the medical document's issue date;

• Correspondence of the illness dates indicated in the medical document to the carriage dates. In case of discrepancy, the conclusion must state “flight not recommended on the specified dates”.

• The period of contraindications to flight must begin no earlier than the date of application to the medical institution.

For the original airport medical center certificate:

• Presence of the departure airport stamp;

• Issue date;

• Information that the passenger is suspended from departure;

• Passenger's e-ticket number or passenger's full name with the flight number/date from which the passenger is suspended;

• Preliminary diagnosis, which may be indicated as “illness”;

• Clearly legible position and surname of the person who issued the document;

• Presence of the signature of the person who issued the document;

• Extract from the log of обращения to the medical institution indicating the period during which at least one flight on the ticket falls and a phrase about contraindications to flight or recommendations not to fly, observe bed rest, exclude physical exertion, not change climatic zone.

The requirements for certificates also apply to the medical commission protocol, epicrisis extract, and medical commission conclusion.

A medical document issued outside the territory of the Russian Federation must be accompanied by a notarized translation of the presented medical document into Russian.

In case of detection of fraud, unreliable documents presented by the passenger are transferred to the police authorities of the Russian Federation for the initiation of criminal/administrative cases in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Seats must be canceled before the end of check-in for the flight.
