What documents are required for a refund due to visa refusal?
To process a refund, you must provide:
passport;
copy of the airline ticket;
copy of the visa refusal on the official consulate letterhead, or a copy of the passport's front page with the refusal stamp;
marriage certificate, birth certificate, or divorce certificate — depending on the family relationship and surnames of passengers, if a close relative was supposed to fly with the passenger who was denied a visa.
According to the Air Code of the Russian Federation, close relatives and family members include spouses, parents and children (adoptive parents and adopted children), grandparents and grandchildren, full and half-siblings.
Documents must be scanned or photographed, with a separate scan for each page.
Please note: if the refund concerns a non-Russian airline, a certified translation of documents into English or another foreign language may be required.
