Can I carry electrical appliances in checked baggage?
Yes, electrical appliances can be carried in checked baggage and hand luggage.
If you want to carry electronics in hand luggage, please note that during security screening, you will need to remove them from your bag and place them in a separate tray for scanning.
If you are transporting fragile items, such as a TV, and its dimensions exceed the hand luggage requirements, we recommend that you contact the airline in advance to arrange the transportation of oversized hand luggage in the aircraft cabin. If it's not possible to transport the TV in the cabin, check it in as baggage, but ask the check-in agent to attach a "Fragile" tag to the box or declare its value.
Some airlines offer a service for transporting non-standard baggage; this is a paid service, but fragile electronics will be delivered to the aircraft by porters, which reduces the risk of damage.
