In this case, the father should add “Senior” (Sr), and the son should add “Junior” (Jr). This applies not only to relatives. Besides “Senior” and “Junior”, there are also options II, III, and IV, which are suitable for twins or siblings with identical initials.

In other cases, the field is irrelevant — it can be safely skipped.
