TOP 10 Countries to Travel to in 2019

The publication Lonely Planet has once again published its ranking of the top 10 best countries in the world for travel in 2019. Unusual destinations made it into the TOP. Let’s take a look and plan our vacation!

10. Belize

Without a map, you wouldn’t immediately know where this state is hidden. It’s in Central America, sharing borders with Guatemala and Mexico. 30% of the country’s inhabitants are descendants of English pirates and African slaves; there are even real Mayan Indians. People come here for nature, as most of the country is forests, rivers, and lakes. And it’s near Belize that the Great Blue Hole is located—a mysterious sinkhole right in the ocean. A visa is required for a visit, but if the purpose of the trip is tourism for no more than 30 days, the visa is issued at the border. But don’t go there in February-March — that’s the season for fierce rains.

9. São Tomé and Príncipe

Again, you wouldn’t immediately know where this is. The island is located in the Gulf of Guinea near African Gabon. An endlessly green place, it will appeal to lovers of unusual and exotic holidays. The huge Obo National Park, Blue Lagoon, and Pico Cão Grande mountain attract visitors here. But to visit the island, you need to get several vaccinations.

It’s just like in the Lion King cartoon. And don’t worry about your health. It’s not necessary to get vaccinations to visit the country; it’s enough to take malaria pills and wear long-sleeved clothing.
