Why might you be denied boarding?
If you have a plane ticket, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll fly. And we're not talking about flight delays or cancellations. At least 6 obstacles can stand between you and your dream vacation.
Bad Odor and Dirt
Yes, smelly and dirty people can be denied boarding. Exceptions are made for unpleasant odors caused by illness or disability. You must understand that an airplane is an enclosed space that cannot be ventilated during flight. Unpleasant odors and soiled clothing will cause discomfort to passengers and crew. American Airlines has even stipulated this in its rules.

It doesn't matter if you were fighting for your life in the sweaty tropics or fell in the mud before entering the airport — you must enter the cabin clean and relatively fresh. To remedy the situation, almost all airports have separate shower cabins or clothing stores. Yes, you'll have to spend money, but it will still be cheaper than a new ticket.
You Argue with Everyone
It's simple: if you can't control your anger and argue with everyone you meet, with or without reason, you will likely be denied boarding. Troublemakers are not wanted, they are disliked, and if necessary, they are tied to their seats with plastic wrap or other people's belts.
And if you resort to physical assault against passengers or crew members, rest assured that local police will be waiting for you at your destination. In such a case, the airline has every right to issue a fine and add your data to a blacklist. And for at least a year, you will not be able to fly with that carrier.
You're Dressed Inappropriately
Your choice of clothing also affects your ability to fly. Saudi Arabian Airlines are very strict about their passengers' attire. Shorts are not allowed on board. And you might be denied boarding any aircraft due to offensive inscriptions on your clothing. Well, you understand: this includes religion, politics, race, and so on. Therefore, always check what the inscriptions on your items mean and don't buy those where you are unsure of the translation.

Particularly picky airlines may deny you boarding if you are wearing high heels. This is not suitable footwear for an airplane, as it can cause injuries in case of evacuation. You'll have to take off your shoes anyway, as stilettos, for example, can puncture an emergency slide.
Incorrectly Transporting Ashes
Flying with ashes? Then you'll need documents for the urn, and each airline may have different transportation rules. If you want to carry it in your hand luggage, be sure to check with the carrier what documents are required. It will be difficult to resolve such an issue on the spot without documents; you will probably simply be denied boarding.
You Are Overweight
People with excess weight may also have problems boarding a plane. And it's not about discrimination, but about safety. The fact is that you must fasten your seatbelt during takeoff and landing — this is a mandatory condition. If the seatbelt doesn't fit and fasten around you, you are primarily at risk. In this case, the airline has every right to deny boarding. But there is a solution — buy not one seat, but two, and raise the armrest. But this will be two tickets. This way, other passengers will also be comfortable, and you will be safe!

Passport Problem
Anything can be an issue here: its questionable appearance, a poor resemblance between your face and the photo, a faded photograph, an expired validity period, torn pages inside, or cat teeth marks on the cover. In general, make sure your passport is always in good condition, both inside and out.
