Overview

Antarvedi, located in India, is characterized by a tropical climate with high temperatures throughout the year. Average annual temperatures range from a comfortable 24.9°C in January to a sweltering 31.9°C in May, which is the hottest month. Even during relatively cool periods, the minimum temperature rarely drops below 20.8°C, ensuring warm weather all year round.

The climate in Antarvedi has two distinct seasons: dry and wet. The dry season prevails from January to April, when rainfall is virtually non-existent and the number of rainy days is minimal. Starting in May, precipitation and wet days gradually increase, and from June to October, a pronounced monsoon season sets in. During this period, rainfall increases significantly, peaking in July (10 mm), and the number of rainy days can reach up to 23 per month (in July and September). From November to December, the intensity of rain decreases, but the weather remains warm, marking the transition to a drier period.

Temperature

The climate in Antarvedi is characterized by warm weather throughout the year, though with notable seasonal variations. The annual temperature range is quite wide: minimum night temperatures drop to 20.8°C in January, while daytime highs can reach 35.4°C in May. The hottest month is traditionally May, with an average air temperature of 31.9°C. The coolest month is January, when the average temperature is 24.9°C.

The summer period, which can roughly be attributed to the months from March to June, is marked by increasing heat. In March, the average temperature is already 28.4°C, peaking in May (31.9°C) and dipping slightly in June (31.4°C). Daytime temperatures in these months often rise above 32-35°C, creating hot conditions. Nights also remain very warm, with minimum temperatures in the 24-28°C range. With the arrival of the monsoon, which is particularly active from June to September, high humidity is added to the high temperatures.

The winter months, from December to February, offer milder and more comfortable weather. Average temperatures range from 24.9°C in January to 26.1°C in February. During the day, the air warms up to a pleasant 28-30°C, and at night it cools down to 20-22°C. Diurnal temperature fluctuations are most pronounced in the drier months (for example, in February, the difference between the daytime high of 30.6°C and the nighttime low of 21.5°C is about 9°C), while at the peak of the monsoon season (July-September), this difference narrows to 4-5°C due to high humidity and cloud cover.

Precipitation

Antarvedi experiences distinct seasonality in its precipitation patterns. The year can be clearly divided into dry and wet periods. The dry season covers the months from January to April. During this time, rainfall is practically zero (0 mm), with only one or two rainy days per month. February and April are the driest months, when the chance of rain is minimal.

The transition to the wet season begins in May, when about 1 mm of rainfall occurs and the number of rainy days increases to six. The main peak of precipitation falls between June and September. July is the rainiest month, both in terms of total rainfall (10 mm) and the number of rainy days (23 days). September is also characterized by high humidity: 8 mm of precipitation and 23 rainy days. In June and August, rain also occurs frequently, with 19 and 21 rainy days respectively, although the total amount of precipitation is slightly lower (4 mm and 7 mm).

From October, the intensity and frequency of rainfall begin to decline, signaling the approach of the dry season. October sees about 5 mm of rain over approximately 18 days. In November, rainfall decreases to 3 mm, and the number of rainy days drops to 10. December is already significantly drier, with 2 mm of rain and only four rainy days, serving as a prelude to the dry start of the year. Given the temperature regime of Antarvedi, all precipitation falls as rain.

Packing Tips

When planning a trip to Antarvedi, keep in mind that you can expect warm weather year-round. Average temperatures range from 24.9°C to 31.9°C, so the foundation of your wardrobe should consist of light and breathable items made from natural fabrics like cotton or linen. Don't forget high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection, especially between January and April, when there is almost no rain and maximum temperatures can reach 34-35°C.

From June to November, and particularly intensely from July to September, the rainy season arrives in Antarvedi. During this period, the number of wet days increases significantly, reaching 19-23 days per month, while temperatures remain high. Therefore, be sure to bring a light raincoat or a compact umbrella. Clothing made of quick-drying materials and waterproof shoes or sandals that can handle the moisture will also be very useful. Insect repellent is another good addition, especially for evening walks.

Regardless of the season, comfortable walking shoes are your best companion for any journey through India. Although temperatures remain high even at night (minimums rarely drop below 20°C), a light sweater or shawl can be useful for evening strolls or in air-conditioned spaces. Given the consistently warm weather, layering is more relevant for sun protection or a light evening breeze than for keeping warm.
