The bar's interior is designed in a warm rustic style: plenty of wooden elements, soft lighting, and plaid cushions create a sense of comfort, as if you’ve found yourself in a cabin somewhere in the forests of Ontario. The venue is famous for its hospitality and consistently high-quality dishes, which once began their journey as a small food truck and are now served in a full-fledged modern restaurant.

The menu's main pride is authentic Canadian comfort food. Here you can try the legendary poutine (french fries with cheese curds and thick gravy), juicy smash burgers, and mouth-watering chicken wings. It is the perfect place for those seeking quality street food combined with an excellent selection of craft drinks.

In warmer weather, it is particularly pleasant to take a table in the outdoor seating area. Visitors often note the fast and friendly service: the staff is always ready to help with dish or drink selections, making your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible.

History & Facts

The story of Beaver and Bear is a tale of passion for culinary discovery. The project was founded by two New Zealanders who, during an extensive trip across Canada, fell in love with the local culture of hospitality and, of course, the famous Canadian comfort food. Upon returning home, they decided to recreate a piece of northern warmth in the Southern Hemisphere.

The establishment began its journey in September 2019 as a popular food truck. The mobile kitchen quickly won the hearts of locals thanks to perfectly prepared chicken wings and a dish rare for these parts — Canadian poutine. The success of the food truck allowed the owners to establish a permanent home for their project.

In November 2021, Beaver and Bear officially opened its doors as a stationary restaurant on Campbell Street. Since then, the venue has grown from a small startup into one of the city's most recognizable gastronomic spots, while maintaining its street food spirit and friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
