The wettest period, judging by the volume of falling moisture, falls at the beginning of the year: in January, the highest amount of precipitation is recorded (about 12 mm), and rains can occur approximately 22 days per month. The end of the year, especially December, is also distinguished by increased humidity and frequency of rains.

If your goal is to catch as many dry days as possible, it is worth planning a trip for March. According to statistics, this is the month with the fewest rainy days (only about 12) and minimum rainfall volume. The summer months (July and August) are also characterized by low rainfall levels (about 2 mm), however, rains during this period can happen quite often, even if they are very brief.

This indicates that rains at this time are frequent but, as a rule, light and short-lived. In general, tropical downpours in the Seychelles are usually quickly replaced by bright sunshine, so even in "wet" seasons, the weather remains comfortable for a holiday.

Since the climate on Praslin is distinguished by enviable stability with air temperatures from +25°C to +28°C year-round, your luggage should consist mainly of summer clothing. Give preference to items made of light natural fabrics, such as cotton, linen, or viscose, which allow the skin to breathe in high humidity conditions. Shorts, T-shirts, loose shirts, and beach dresses will become your best companions. Do not forget to take several sets of swimwear so that you always have a dry option at hand for a beach holiday.

Despite the fact that the temperature changes insignificantly, statistics show a fairly large number of days with precipitation throughout the year (from 12 to 25 days per month). Rains in the Seychelles are often short-term but sudden, so a light rain poncho or a compact umbrella are mandatory items in your suitcase. The choice of footwear depends on your plans: open sandals or flip-flops are suitable for the beach, while for exploring the island's nature trails and parks, it is better to take comfortable trainers or light trekking shoes with non-slip soles. It is also recommended to bring special rubber footwear for swimming ("aqua shoes") to protect your feet from coral and sea urchins. Evenings here are warm, the temperature rarely drops below +25°C, but one light long-sleeved top may be useful for protection against mosquitoes or air conditioning in indoor spaces.
