The first vineyards were planted in 1981, and by 1984, the world saw the first Lescombe family vintage produced on American soil. The company's vineyards are located in the Mimbres Valley—the oldest wine-growing region in the country. Thanks to an elevation of 4,500 feet above sea level, warm days, and cool nights, the conditions here are perfect for growing premium grape varieties.
