The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is one of the main tourist gems of Gulf Shores, located in the state of Alabama, USA. This wonderful corner of wildlife spans approximately 10 hectares (25 acres), just a few miles north of the Intracoastal Waterway and near the picturesque coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The zoo invites visitors to immerse themselves in the world of fauna, offering a close encounter with its inhabitants.

The zoo's collection features more than 300 animals, representing a rich diversity of species from all over the world. Here you can observe graceful giraffes, playful baboons, majestic lions and tigers, secretive lynx, exotic muntjacs, and lemurs. Other residents include sloths, wolves, bears, various monkeys, vibrant turacos, hopping kangaroos, as well as alligators and snakes housed in specially equipped terrariums.
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo operates as a non-profit organization managed by Zoo Foundation, Inc. Its activities are supported through ticket sales, membership fees, and donations from dedicated visitors and organizations. In addition to the extensive animal collection, the zoo offers guests a petting zoo where they can get up close with some of the residents, a reptile house, and a spacious aviary.
