What to Do

The main reason to visit this establishment is the art of the cocktail. Professional bartenders will offer you both time-tested classics and bold innovative drinks. Be sure to check out the food menu: for example, on Wednesdays, they serve fresh lobster rolls, which have become a local hit.

Music lovers won't be bored either. On Tuesdays, the bar hosts "The Session at Keys" jazz sessions, while Saturday nights are dedicated to Jazz Social — a great opportunity to listen to masterful performances without having to buy a ticket. Wednesdays usually delight guests with sets from DJs on vinyl records, adding a special retro flair to the evening.

For those looking for a more private setting or planning a celebration for 6 to 10 people, the famous "Back Room" is available. And if you drop by early, you can take advantage of happy hour, which lasts nearly all day at this welcoming spot.

History & Facts

The history of this place began long before the first cocktails were mixed here. The building was constructed in 1962 and served as a locksmith workshop for many decades. When creating the lounge, the owners made a great effort to preserve the spirit of the past: they restored the original KEYS sign and the storefront, which have adorned the facade for over 60 years.

The restoration was handled by an experienced team from the neighboring Radio Room. When they started work, the building was in poor condition with a crumbling foundation and a leaking roof. However, their careful attention to detail allowed them to save not only the walls but also unique artifacts, including old keys left behind by the former locksmith owners.

The current owners' family has deep roots in the King neighborhood since the early 1960s, making this project more than just a business for them. It is a kind of monument to the neighborhood's history, highlighting the importance of preserving local heritage in a rapidly changing metropolis.

Time Needed

Guests typically spend 1 to 3 hours here. This is quite enough time to slowly enjoy a signature cocktail, appreciate the vintage interior, and try dishes from the menu in a calm setting.

However, if your visit coincides with a music evening — whether it's live jazz or vinyl sets — we recommend planning for 2 to 4 hours. Immersing yourself in the atmosphere of high-quality sound and relaxed conversation is captivating, and you likely won't want to leave until the very end of the performance.

Working Hours

The establishment opens its doors daily in the afternoon, offering a great option for an early cocktail or a late dinner. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday — the bar is open from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. On Friday and Saturday, hours are extended until 1:00 AM.

Special mention goes to happy hour, which is in effect here all day long, allowing you to enjoy your favorite drinks and snacks at pleasant prices at any time Keys Lounge is open.
