Imagine a place where the boundaries between Earth and the endless cosmos become almost invisible. The Videira Astronomical Hub (Polo Astronômico de Videira) is a modern science and tourism complex located in the city of Videira, which opens the amazing world of stars and planets to residents and guests of Brazil. Opened in April 2024, it became the first center of its kind in the state of Santa Catarina, offering completely free access to knowledge about the Universe.

This complex combines the Domingos Forlin Municipal Observatory, a high-tech digital planetarium, a lunar observatory, and a research laboratory. Here, you can not only gaze at the night sky but also study the Sun through a special solar telescope or check the time using a classic sundial. The facility is designed as a space for the popularization of science, where complex astronomical phenomena become clear and exciting for people of all ages.
Special attention is given here to environmental responsibility and education. Visitors are greeted not only by powerful telescope lenses but also by art objects, such as a rocket created from recycled materials. Thanks to the planetarium's digital technology, simulations of the starry sky can be observed in any weather, making this an ideal place for family leisure and school field trips.
