Starting in May, the number of rainy days increases sharply, and the wet season continues right through to November.

A characteristic feature of the weather in Tambor is the high frequency of rainfall in the second half of the year: according to statistics, from June to October, it can rain almost daily. However, it is worth noting that even in the wettest months, the air temperature does not drop, maintaining an "eternal summer" feel. Travellers planning a trip during the "green season" should be prepared for frequent rains, which, however, do not deprive this region of Costa Rica of its tropical charm.

The climate in Tambor is distinguished by its amazing stability and mildness, making it comfortable to visit at any time of the year. The temperature regime hardly changes from month to month: average annual figures fluctuate within a narrow range from +20.6°C to +22.4°C. April and May are traditionally considered the warmest period, when the average temperature reaches its peak, and daytime maximums can rise to +25.7°C. December and January, conversely, are the "coolest" months, although the difference compared to summer is minimal and barely perceptible to the tourist.

In the summer months (from June to August), the weather remains pleasant and warm, with average values around +21.7°C. There is usually no exhausting heat here, allowing you to enjoy nature without the risk of overheating. The winter season, falling in December-February, is characterised by slightly fresher air with an average temperature of about +20.8°C...+21.2°C. This is when the most comfortable weather sets in for active walks and excursions, as the sun warms gently and unobtrusively.

A characteristic feature of the local climate is the noticeable daily temperature fluctuations. The difference between the daytime maximum and the nightly minimum averages 6–7 degrees. During the day, the air warms up to +24...+25°C, but after sunset, the temperature drops to +17...+19°C. Such cool nights ensure excellent rest and freshness, but travellers are advised to bring a light windbreaker or jumper for evening walks by the ocean.

Precipitation in Tambor is distributed unevenly throughout the year, clearly dividing the calendar into dry and wet seasons. The first months of the year are considered the most favourable time to visit. Travellers planning a trip in the second half of the year should be prepared for frequent, albeit not always heavy, rainfall.

Since warm and comfortable weather reigns in Tambor all year round with an average temperature of about +21...+22°C, the basis of your wardrobe should consist of light items made from natural breathable fabrics, such as cotton or linen. Be sure to bring shorts, t-shirts, and summer dresses. Do not forget reliable sun protection: in Costa Rica, UV radiation is very active, so high-quality sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses are simply essential, especially in the dry season from January to April.
