Dembidollo Airport, also known as Dembi Dolo, is an important air gateway to the southwestern part of Ethiopia. This small but modern air harbour plays a key role in connecting the Oromia region with the rest of the country. Following reconstruction and the opening of a new runway in 2018, the airport resumed operations, and in February 2024, the national carrier Ethiopian Airlines restored regular flights, connecting Dembi Dolo with the capital, Addis Ababa. This event marked a significant step in the development of local infrastructure, fostering the growth of trade and tourism in the region.
