Mamou, located in central Guinea, enjoys a classic tropical savanna climate. Thanks to its highland location (about 965 meters above sea level), the city is shielded from the sweltering, humid heat of the coastal regions, making its climate one of the most pleasant in the country.

The annual weather cycle here is clearly divided into two seasons: a long dry period and an intense rainy season. From November to May, the sun rules over the region, while from June to October, heavy monsoon rains arrive, transforming the savanna into a lush green oasis.
