The climate in Kendrapara, India, is classified as a tropical monsoon climate. The city experiences high temperatures throughout most of the year, with significant seasonal fluctuations in humidity and rainfall. Overall, the weather is warm to hot, which is typical for the region.

The city of Kendrapara enjoys a warm climate year-round, though with noticeable seasonal temperature fluctuations. The hottest period occurs in April and May. May is also very hot, with an average temperature 31.4°C, maximums of up to 35.6°C, and nightly minimums of 27.2°C. The coolest months are January and December. The summer months, from March to October, are characterized by high temperatures. March already brings significant warming, with an average temperature of 28.4°C. From June to September, although the peak heat subsides slightly (average temperatures around 29–31°C), the monsoon season arrives. During this time, daytime temperatures hover around 31–34°C, while nighttime temperatures remain high, around 26–27°C. The high humidity accompanying the heavy rains makes the heat feel quite intense. For example, in July and August, the average temperature stays around 29°C, and the number of rainy days reaches 29 per month.

The winter period, from November to February, offers residents and visitors of Kendrapara milder and more comfortable weather. In November, the average temperature is 24.6°C, and in February, it is 24.1°C. During the day, the air warms up to a pleasant 26–30°C, cooling down to 16–20°C at night. The driest months in Kendrapara are January, February, March, November, and December. During this period, only about 1 mm of precipitation falls in each of these months, and the number of rainy days does not exceed 2–5, making rain a rare occurrence. April, May (2–3 mm of rainfall, 8–9 rainy days), and October (5 mm of rainfall, about 16 rainy days) are transition months when precipitation gradually increases before the monsoon or decreases after it ends. Given the consistently warm temperatures year-round, all precipitation falls as rain.
