Did you know that in the distant Indonesian city of Sorong, there is its own "Berlin Wall"? But don't be too quick to look for political subtext. Berlin Wall Beach (locally known as Pantai Tembok Berlin or Pantai Dofior) is a unique public space that has become a landmark of the West Papua region in the exotic country of Indonesia.

The attraction got its unusual name thanks to a massive concrete wall about 1.5 meters high and nearly a kilometer long. This construction separates the beach from a busy coastal road, reliably protecting the city's infrastructure from the whims of the ocean, high tides, and powerful waves. For locals, this wall has turned into one giant "bench" offering the best views of the sea.
The beach welcomes guests with soft light-brown sand, scattered stones, and slender rows of coconut palms. Due to its location on the edge of the city, it serves as a starting point for many tourists planning their journey to the legendary Raja Ampat islands. It is a place where urban hustle meets the serenity of warm tropical waters.
