Daily temperature fluctuations are also quite smoothed thanks to the maritime influence. The difference between day and night readings is small and rarely exceeds 4–7 degrees. Even on winter nights, the thermometer practically never drops below 14–15°C, and in summer, the night temperature stays stably at the level of 20–21°C, providing pleasant freshness after a sunny day.

Precipitation in Dakhla is an exceptional and extremely rare phenomenon. The city is located in a desert climate zone, so eternal drought reigns here. Throughout the year, the amount of rainfall tends towards zero, and the concept of a "rainy season" virtually does not exist for this region. Travellers can count on clear skies and dry weather in practically any month.

When planning a trip to Dakhla, you should focus on the mild and dry climate that prevails here year-round. Since rain in this region is an exceptional phenomenon, you can safely leave your umbrella and raincoat at home. The basis of your wardrobe should consist of light items made from natural breathable fabrics, such as cotton or linen: t-shirts, shorts, and summer trousers will be ideal for daytime walks. Given that the temperature during the day rarely rises above +27°C even in the hottest months, there is no need to fear exhausting heat.

The main feature of the local weather is the constant and rather strong wind from the Atlantic. That is why, despite the sunny days, a windbreaker or light jacket will be the most important item in your suitcase. In the evenings and at night, especially during the winter period (January-February), the temperature can drop to +15°C, so be sure to bring a warm sweatshirt, fleece jumper, or denim jacket. The principle of layering works best here: you can easily warm up if the wind picks up, and strip down when the sun comes out.

Pay special attention to accessories and sun protection. The desert sun is active even with a cool wind, so cream with high SPF and sunglasses are mandatory. As for headwear, it is better to choose a tight-fitting cap, bandana, or scarf, as wide-brimmed hats will constantly be blown away by the wind. Regarding footwear, comfortable sandals or flip-flops are suitable for a beach holiday, while for long walks and excursions in the surrounding area, it is better to take closed sneakers so that sand does not get inside.
