The high rocky shore, offering breathtaking views of the water, has long been the signature landmark of Khabarovsk. This majestic historical attraction, known as the Amur Cliff (Amur Utyos), is considered the unofficial symbol of the city and one of the most recognizable locations in all of Russia. It was here, according to the annals, that the history of the development of these lands began.

At the very top of the stone giant sits an elegant visitor center building, which reopened its doors in 2024 after a global reconstruction. It is now a modern museum and cultural space where visitors can learn about the life of past eras and see unique artifacts surrounded by multimedia equipment.
The site attracts guests not only for its historical significance but also for its magnificent observation deck. From a bird's-eye view, an endless panorama of the Amur River unfolds, making the cliff an ideal spot for watching picturesque sunsets and festive fireworks reflected in the dark river waters.
