The snow-white Znamensky Cathedral is a true gem and one of the most recognizable symbols that Tyumen is proud of. Located in the historical center, this majestic temple is a magnificent example of Siberian Baroque. Its sky-blue domes and elegant architectural silhouette attract the eyes of both residents and travelers crossing the country represented by Russia.

The cathedral is a unique monument that was built and renovated over nearly 150 years. Its architectural composition includes not only the main temple but also a refectory, vestibules, and a tall bell tower reaching 65 meters. The exterior decor impresses with an abundance of stucco work and harmonious proportions that make the massive building appear visually light and soaring upward.
Inside the temple, an atmosphere of tranquility and solemnity prevails. The cathedral's main relic is the Our Lady of the Sign icon, in whose honor it was consecrated. As an active cathedral, it plays a key role in the regional spiritual life while remaining an open and welcoming cultural site for every guest of the city.
