However, the peak of precipitation falls precisely during the summer period: July is considered the rainiest month of the year, when overcast weather can be observed for almost half the days. The transition between seasons happens rapidly: spring brings quick warming, while autumn sees a sharp return of the cold as early as October.

The climate in this region is distinguished by pronounced continentality and significant temperature contrasts throughout the year. Zyryanka is known for its severe and prolonged winters. The coldest month is January, when the average temperature drops to -35.6°C, and nightly minimums often reach -37.9°C. The cold arrives early: freezing temperatures set in as early as October, and in November, average indicators fall below -23°C.

The summer season here is short but brings long-awaited warmth. The warmest months are June and July, when the air warms up on average to +15.6°C...+15.8°C. During the day at the height of summer, the temperature often rises to a comfortable +20°C...+21°C, which allows for enjoyable walks. However, it is worth considering noticeable temperature fluctuations: even in July, nights remain quite cool, with values around +11°C, so travellers should keep warm clothes with them even during the warmest season.

When setting off on a journey to a settlement like Zyryanka, it is important to consider the specifics of the local climate. Precipitation here is distributed unevenly throughout the year, and its character depends directly on the air temperature. Since winters in this region of Russia are severe and frosty, from October to April moisture falls exclusively in the form of snow. At the same time, the winter months are not characterized by heavy snowfalls: for example, in February and March, a minimal amount of precipitation and only 2–4 "wet" days are recorded.

The situation changes with the arrival of warmth. Summer, especially its middle, is the most humid period. Since Zyryanka is located in a zone of severe climate, preparation for the trip depends directly on the time of year. In winter, from November to March, the thermometer here drops below -30°C, and sometimes down to -37°C, so the basis of your luggage should be specialized thermal underwear, woollen jumpers, and a high-quality down parka designed for extreme frost. Be sure to take insulated trousers, a fur hat that covers the ears, a scarf, and warm mittens. Pay special attention to footwear: it should have thick soles and natural insulation.

Summer here is short and relatively mild, with temperatures rising to +20°C, however, the greatest number of rainy days falls precisely in July and August. For a trip in the warm season, take t-shirts and light trousers, but be sure to put a waterproof windbreaker, a raincoat, and moisture-resistant trekking boots in your suitcase. Since the weather can be changeable, the principle of layering remains relevant: a fleece jacket will come in handy on cool evenings or during the transitional months (May, September) when the air temperature stays just above freezing.

Regardless of the season, it is worth taking a portable charger (Power Bank) with you, as gadgets discharge very quickly in the cold. In spring, when the sun reflects off the snow, and in summer, you will definitely need sunglasses and sunscreen. Also, considering the remoteness of the region and the nature, it is recommended to carry a basic first aid kit and effective insect repellents, as insects become active during the warm time of year.
