The route from Uzhhorod, extending about 170 kilometres, usually takes three to four hours, making it a convenient option for entry from the east. If you prefer a taxi or a private transfer from these cities, it is worth budgeting an amount from 100–120 euros one way, so many travellers choose car rental for greater freedom of movement around the region.
