What to Do

The main adventure begins even before entering the venue itself: you have to pass through The Maze of the Lost City. This is an exciting walk through a labyrinth whose walls imitate ancient stonework. The process of finding the exit turns into a fun game for adults and children, and the final stage will be crossing an impressive suspension bridge.

Once at the bar, be sure to try the tasting sets of local craft beer for which this place is famous. The drink menu here is diverse and selected to refresh travelers after solving the puzzle. Get comfortable on the open terrace and enjoy the atmosphere of tranquility.

Don't forget to take your camera or smartphone with you. From the elevation where the bar is located, some of the best views of the Sun City resort open up, including the famous The Palace hotel. This is an excellent spot for watching the sunset or simply contemplating the architectural magnificence of the complex from an unusual angle.

Getting There

You can get to Maze Bar while already inside the Sun City resort complex. Since the bar is located in the Sun Central zone (formerly known as the Entertainment Centre), the most convenient way to move around the resort is using the internal transfer system. Free shuttle buses run regularly between the hotels and the main entertainment zones.

If you arrived in your own or a rental car, you can leave it at one of the complex's parking lots designated for day visitors and proceed to the main entertainment center. From the entrance to Sun Central, follow the signs to the labyrinth (The Maze).

The bar itself is located at the end of the path through the maze, so once you reach the attraction's entrance, you will have a walking route ahead of you. For those who do not wish to solve the puzzle, an alternative short path is often available, though it is best to check this with the staff at the entrance.

History & Facts

Interestingly, Maze Bar is not just a dining venue, but the final point of one of the largest permanent mazes in the Southern Hemisphere. The maze structure itself was designed to mimic the ruins of an ancient Mayan civilization, which fits perfectly into the overall "Lost City" concept of the Sun City resort. Artificially aged walls and decor create a complete sensation of being immersed in an archaeological excavation.

You can only reach the bar by crossing a suspension bridge about 100 meters long, which stretches from the Sun Central entertainment center. This bridge is an engineering landmark in itself, offering breathtaking views of the resort grounds even before you take your first sip of a drink.

Originally, other entertainment facilities were located here, but the reconstruction and creation of the maze with the bar allowed for adding a quest element to a standard vacation. The venue's concept is built on the idea of a "reward at the end of the journey": after guests find their way out of the twisting corridors, they emerge onto an open terrace with refreshing drinks.

Time Needed

For a full visit to Maze Bar, it is worth planning from one to one and a half hours. This time includes navigating the maze itself, which is an integral part of the adventure and can take from 15 to 30 minutes depending on your ability to orient yourself in space.

You can spend the remaining time with pleasure on the bar's terrace, enjoying craft beer or cocktails and admiring the panoramic view of the resort. If you plan to visit the venue with a large group or during sunset, it is better to allocate a little more time for relaxed leisure.

Working Hours

The opening hours of Maze Bar may vary depending on the season and the resort's occupancy. Usually, the establishment is open for visits daily, starting from late morning until the evening, allowing guests to enjoy both daytime views and the sunset.

We strongly recommend checking the current schedule on the official Sun City resort website or clarifying information at your hotel's reception desk before visiting to avoid disappointment.
