During this time, the air temperature stays in the range of 16–23°C, which is ideal for long walks and sightseeing. Overall, the weather in Melilla is predictable and favourable for tourism, offering travellers plenty of sun and warmth.

Melilla welcomes travellers with a mild Mediterranean climate, which is not characterised by extreme temperature changes. Winter here is incredibly comfortable and reminds one more of early spring: even in the coolest months, January and February, the thermometer at night practically never drops below +10°C, and during the day the air confidently warms up to +16°C...+17°C. This makes the city a wonderful destination for those wishing to avoid harsh frosts and enjoy mild, gentle weather.

The summer season brings real warmth, reaching its peak in August, which is traditionally the hottest month of the year. At this time, average daily highs hold at around +29°C...+30°C, ensuring excellent conditions for a beach holiday. Notably, nights in July and August remain very warm, with minimum temperatures above +21°C, creating the ideal atmosphere for long evening walks along the promenade without the need to bring warm clothes.

The transitional seasons in Melilla are smooth and pleasant. Already in May, one feels the full breath of summer with daytime figures above +22°C, whilst September and even October retain accumulated warmth, allowing one to enjoy an "Indian summer" at a comfortable +24°C...+20°C. The difference between day and night temperatures throughout the year is small, usually amounting to just 6–7 degrees, which eliminates sudden discomfort when the time of day changes.

The climate in Melilla is characterised as fairly dry, with a clear division into seasons. Throughout the year, the amount of moisture is distributed unevenly, which is worth considering when planning a trip.

In July, the probability of rain is reduced to zero, whilst in August and June, precipitation is recorded extremely rarely, literally 1–2 days for the whole month. This makes summer the ideal time for a beach holiday, when the weather does not present unpleasant surprises.

Melilla delights travellers with a mild Mediterranean climate, so the choice of wardrobe largely depends on the season. If you are planning a trip in summer, when the air warms up to 26–30°C and rain is practically excluded, give preference to light clothing made from natural fabrics such as cotton and linen. Be sure to take swimwear, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from the bright sun. Do not forget cream with a high SPF level, as the weather is clear and hot in July and August.

For travelling in the winter months or early spring, when the average temperature hovers around 13–15°C, it is better to use the layering principle. Mornings and evenings can be cool (down to 10°C), so you will find jeans, jumpers, and a light mid-season jacket useful. Considering that in March and the winter months the number of days with precipitation increases, it is worth putting a compact umbrella or raincoat in your suitcase so that changeable weather does not catch you off guard.

Regardless of the time of year, for walking around the city and sightseeing, you will need comfortable flat-soled shoes — reliable trainers or sandals. Since Melilla is located on the coast, it can be windy here, especially in the off-season, so the presence of a windbreaker, a light scarf, or a shawl will be very handy. Such a well-thought-out set of things will allow you to feel comfortable and enjoy the flair of the city in any weather conditions.
