The park's main architectural treasure is the Brittingham Boathouse, built in 1910. Famous architect John Nolen and the firm Ferry and Clas worked on the project. The building is designed in a utilitarian style with elegant elements: an arched entrance and cypress walls. A wing was added to the station in 1921, and in 1982, it was deservedly added to the National Register of Historic Places.

In the first half of the century, a bathhouse was also located here, which hosted up to 50,000 visitors per season. Although the bathhouse was demolished in the 1960s, the boathouse itself has been preserved and underwent a major restoration in 2006. Today, Brittingham Park is a living testament to an era when public spaces began to be designed with the leisure of every citizen in mind.
