Dockweiler State Beach is one of the most spacious and popular public beaches on the Pacific coast of the USA, located in Los Angeles. Its coastline stretches for nearly 6 kilometers, offering guests a vast sandy area for relaxation and fun. The beach is part of the California State Parks system but is managed by Los Angeles County.

A unique feature of Dockweiler Beach is its location directly under the takeoff and landing paths of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This creates a distinct atmosphere: while it can be quite noisy, it also offers a spectacular sight for aviation enthusiasts. Despite the noise, the extensive area and variety of activities make it easy to disconnect and enjoy your time.
Dockweiler Beach is especially famous as one of the few places in Los Angeles where it is officially permitted to light bonfires in specially equipped fire rings. In the evening, many people gather here to have picnics, grill barbecues, and spend time by the fire to the sound of the ocean and passing planes. In addition, surfing, volleyball, and cycling along the famous Marvin Braude Bike Trail are popular activities at the beach.
