What to Do

The main goal of any visit is, of course, tasting freshly brewed beer. Be sure to try their signature varieties, such as the Mermaids & Unicorns golden ale or the fragrant Rose City IPA. Beer can be ordered in flights to appreciate the variety of flavors, from light wheats to rich dark options.

Beyond the drinks, visitors can enjoy a vibrant entertainment program. Live musical acts regularly perform in the taproom and the outdoor area, while the city's best local food trucks park near the entrance, offering traditional Texan snacks. It is the perfect spot for a relaxed evening under the open sky.

For those who want to take a piece of Tyler home with them, there is a shop where you can purchase collectible beer cans decorated with works by local designers, as well as branded merch. The atmosphere is perfect for both lively gatherings with friends and quiet relaxation after a walk around the city.

Getting There

The most convenient way to reach True Vine Brewing Company is by car or taxi. The venue is located at 2453 Earl Campbell Pkwy in the southeastern part of the city. The main landmark is Loop 323, from which the brewery is just a few minutes' drive. A trip from downtown Tyler usually takes about 10–15 minutes.

For travelers arriving by air, the proximity of Tyler Pounds Regional Airport (TYS) is a pleasant bonus — the drive from the terminal takes no more than 10 minutes. If you are coming from Dallas, expect about a two-hour drive via I-20 E.

Since the public transport system in this area is limited, tourists are recommended to use Uber or Lyft services. Convenient on-site parking is available for visitors at the brewery.

History & Facts

The history of this place began in 2011 through the enthusiasm of husband and wife Ryan and Traci Dixon. Inspired by a book on the history of the Guinness family, they decided to create a project that would bring people together. The first batches of beer were brewed literally in a home garage on Vine Avenue, which gave the future company its name.

The official launch as the first craft brewery in East Texas took place in 2013-2014 in a small warehouse on Englewood Avenue. The space was tiny — only about 185 square meters — but it was there that the tradition of monthly "Open Taps" parties was born, gathering hundreds of fans of quality brews.

As popularity grew, it became clear that the original facilities were not enough. In 2018, True Vine Brewing moved to a modern, spacious building on Earl Campbell Parkway. The move allowed them to increase production volumes to 310-gallon batches and create a full-fledged community space with a taproom and concert area, while staying true to their mission: integrity, community, and love.

Time Needed

To fully soak in the atmosphere of the establishment, it is recommended to set aside 1.5 to 3 hours for your visit. This is plenty of time to sample a tasting flight of several varieties, grab a bite from a food truck, and enjoy some live music.

If you plan to visit True Vine Brewing with a large group in the evening or attend one of their special events, you should budget 3–4 hours. Evening programs often run late, and the cozy setting encourages long, unhurried relaxation.
