How to Get to Dharavandhoo

The fastest way to reach the island is to use domestic air services. The local Dharavandhoo Airport (DRV) accepts daily flights from the international airport in Male, making the journey as convenient and effortless as possible.

The flight takes only about 20 minutes, offering stunning bird's-eye views of atolls and lagoons. The airport is located directly on the island, so upon arrival, you will find yourself just a few minutes' drive from your guesthouse or hotel.

Since Dharavandhoo is a small island in the Indian Ocean, rail service is completely non-existent. There are no trains or railways in the Maldives due to the geographical features of the archipelago.

Fans of land transport will have to switch to water or air travel. Reaching here by train is impossible from either the mainland or neighboring islands.

Standard intercity bus service to Dharavandhoo is impossible because the island is separated from other landmasses by the ocean. Bus routes typical for mainland countries do not apply here.
