It is not possible to reach Paraná directly by long-distance train. The shortest path leads from the neighboring city of Santa Fe: the settlements are located very close to each other, and transport runs between them very frequently. The trip from Rosario usually takes about 3–3.5 hours; this time will fly by unnoticed while admiring the landscapes outside the window.

For tourists departing from Córdoba, the journey will last approximately 5.5 hours. Intercity coaches in this region are known for their high level of comfort, so the journey will not feel tiring. Arriving at the bus terminal allows you to immediately begin exploring the local atmosphere, as the terminal is successfully integrated into the urban environment.

Traveling by car will give you freedom of movement and the opportunity to enjoy the landscapes of the Argentine Mesopotamia. The shortest and most popular route runs from neighboring Santa Fe: the cities are separated by only about 31 kilometres, and the drive through the famous subfluvial tunnel will take less than an hour. If you are departing from Rosario, expect to spend approximately 2.5 hours on the road, covering a distance of 205 kilometres on a comfortable highway.

For those making their way from Córdoba, the road spanning about 400 kilometres will take approximately 5 hours. There are good road connections between the cities, so driving will be hassle-free. For short distances, such as from Santa Fe, it is convenient to use a taxi or transfer service—this is a common and relatively inexpensive option, whereas for longer trips, renting a car is more advantageous.
