Imagine a fairytale city born literally from ashes: where others saw rubbish, an artist saw art. Chandigarh Bird Park (also widely known as the Rock Garden) is a unique ensemble of sculptures in the city of Chandigarh, considered one of the most unusual attractions that India has given the world. This man-made masterpiece was created by self-taught artist Nek Chand exclusively from industrial and household waste.

Strolling through the grounds, you will see fantastic compositions where broken ceramics, glass shards, fragments of electrical appliances, and even old bangles come to life. These materials have been transformed into thousands of statues of people, animals, and mythical creatures inhabiting this walled magical world. This place strikes the imagination with its scale and meticulous execution.
Due to its originality and emotional impact, the park is often compared to the architectural projects of the famous Le Corbusier, who worked on the city's design. However, if Le Corbusier's project is a triumph of rationalism, then Nek Chand's creation is a hymn to limitless human imagination and an ecological approach to art.
