The climate of Zahedan can be described as desert and arid. This Iranian region is characterized by abundant sunshine and extremely low rainfall throughout the year. This time of year guarantees stable sunny weather, which is typical for the climate of this part of the country represented by Iran. October and December also remain predominantly dry, only occasionally reminding of the approach or end of the rainy season.

When packing for Zahedan, it is important to consider the specifics of the desert climate of this region. Summer here is hot and arid, with daytime temperatures often exceeding +35°C. For a trip during this season, light, loose-fitting clothing made from natural breathable fabrics such as cotton or linen is ideal. Be sure to take care of protection from the active sun: a wide-brimmed hat, high-quality sunglasses, and high SPF cream should be on your priority list.

In winter and the shoulder seasons, the weather becomes more changeable, so layering is the best strategy. Days can be sunny and pleasant, but nights in the desert terrain are often cold, with temperatures dropping almost to freezing. It is recommended to bring a warm sweater, a fleece jacket, and a thick coat to feel comfortable after sunset. Also, keep in mind that rain is a rarity here, so you will hardly need an umbrella.

For exploring city attractions, choose comfortable closed-toe shoes with flat soles suitable for long walks. Given the extremely low humidity throughout the year, do not forget to put moisturizing cream and lip balm in your toiletry bag.
