Petropavl Botanical Garden is a true emerald oasis located in the city of Petropavl. This unique site in Kazakhstan is considered one of the oldest in the republic, as its history dates back to 1912. Originally created as a modest greenhouse at a meat canning factory to grow laurel and spices, the garden has today evolved into a magnificent international-level conservatory complex.

Here, under the glass vaults, is a collection of more than a thousand species of rare plants from all over the world. Visitors can expect exotic palms, fragrant magnolias, and evergreen figs. After a major reconstruction in 2020, the garden's territory was transformed: Japanese dry stone streams, a picturesque waterfall, a fountain, and a cozy rock garden were added, making it not just a scientific base but a popular spot for relaxation and inspiration.
The main pride of the garden is a date palm that is over 240 years old. It grew from a seedling brought from Mecca at the end of the 18th century and has become a living symbol of the continuity of traditions and the careful attitude toward nature maintained by local agronomists for many decades.
