Located in the very heart of Semey, the Nevzorov Family Museum of Fine Arts is a unique treasure trove of world and national art. It is one of the largest art collections that Kazakhstan is proud of. The museum is rightfully considered the cultural heart of the region, housing over 5,000 masterpieces in its funds, spanning from the late 18th century to the present day.

The main highlight of the museum is its incredibly rich collection of pre-revolutionary Russian art. Here you can see original works by legendary Peredvizhniki (The Wanderers), such as Kramskoy, Perov, and Ge. Equally significant is the section dedicated to original Kazakhstani art, which allows you to trace the development of the national school of art through hundreds of unique exhibits.
The museum occupies the magnificent Stepanov Merchants' Mansion, built in the 1870s. This building itself is an architectural monument and creates a special, solemn atmosphere for encountering beauty. The combination of historical interiors and priceless canvases makes a visit here a must-see for any traveler.
