The climate in Zhairem can be described as sharply continental and arid. The driest times of the year can be called early summer and early autumn: in June and September, the number of days with precipitation drops to 3–4, and the volume often tends towards zero. In July and August, the probability of short-term rains increases slightly (about 5 days per month), but they generally do not cause serious inconvenience. Overall, there is no pronounced rainy season in the town, and the weather in Kazakhstan in this area favours trips practically all year round.

When preparing for Zhairem, it is worth considering the features of the sharply continental climate of this region. Winter here can be harsh and frosty, so in the cold season, you cannot do without warm clothing. Be sure to pack high-quality thermal wear, a thick down jacket with a hood, a hat, and gloves to feel comfortable even at temperatures below -15°C.

In summer, the weather changes drastically: it becomes hot and dry, and the thermometer often rises above +30°C. For a trip during this season, choose loose-fitting items made from natural fabrics, and do not forget a sun hat or cap, as well as sunglasses. In spring and autumn, the temperature can be changeable, so it is better to use the principle of layering, combining light T-shirts with warm sweaters or a windproof jacket.
