How to Get There
Getting to Yeosu Expo Station is hassle-free, as it is a key transport hub of the city. If you are in the centre of Yeosu, many city buses (for example, routes No. 2, No. 6, No. 7) go directly to the station square. A trip from the central market or the Yi Sun-sin Square area will take about 15–20 minutes.
For those who prefer comfort, taxis are always waiting at the station exit. A trip to the main hotels in the city centre will cost approximately 5,000–8,000 KRW. A unique feature of the station is that many attractions, such as Aqua Planet or the entrance to Odongdo Island, can be reached on foot in 10–15 minutes, enjoying the refreshing sea breeze.

Station History
The history of railway communication in this region began long ago, but the modern Yeosu Expo Station is a relatively new facility. The old "Yeosu" station was located elsewhere, but as part of the preparations for the international exhibition Expo 2012, a decision was made to move the station closer to the exhibition complex and the port.
The opening of the new terminal in 2011 marked an important stage in the city's development. The station was electrified and adapted to accommodate high-speed KTX trains, which reduced the travel time to Seoul to 3 hours. The name "Expo" was officially added to highlight the city's status as the host of the global event and has become established as a brand for the region.
Passenger Tips
When planning a trip via Yeosu Expo Station, please note that tickets for KTX trains, especially on weekends and public holidays, sell out very quickly — book them online in advance. We recommend arriving at the station 20–30 minutes before departure to calmly find your carriage and buy some snacks.
From a safety perspective, the station is very calm, and security patrols the area around the clock. If you plan to visit the islands, keep in mind that the ferry terminal is within walking distance, making the transfer from train to boat very convenient. At night, the station closes after the arrival of the last train, so staying overnight in the waiting hall is not possible.
