The entire architectural ensemble was created during the administration of Enrique Muñoz Aristegui, reflecting the ambitions and style of the period.

The famous miniature train (El Trenecito), which has become the park's signature feature, appeared much later—in 1955. Its launch was made possible by the initiative of local community leaders, and since then, this attraction has remained a favorite for many generations of visitors.
