Fundidora Park (Parque Fundidora) is one of the most unusual and iconic landmarks not only in Monterrey but in all of Mexico. This massive urban park is unique because it is situated on the site of a former metallurgical plant, founded in 1900, which was once the first and largest steel production facility in Latin America. After closing in 1986, this industrial space was transformed into a cultural and entertainment hub for residents and visitors.

The park's main feature is the harmonious blend of industrial heritage and modern recreation areas. Designers preserved many of the original industrial structures, including blast furnaces, chimneys, and old workshops, turning them into surreal art objects and museums. One of the main points of interest is Blast Furnace No. 3, converted into the interactive Horno3 Steel Museum.
Today, Fundidora Park is a multi-functional complex where everyone will find something for themselves. It features extensive green areas with lakes and fountains, jogging and cycling paths, concert venues, exhibition pavilions, and even an ice rink. It is the perfect place for walking, active recreation, and learning about the region's industrial history, making it a must-see on any traveler's Monterrey itinerary.
