Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) is not merely a transport hub, but a true architectural masterpiece that immerses travellers in the atmosphere of an oriental fairy tale from the very first minute. Its unique terminal, resembling a snow-white jewellery box with intricate ornaments, is recognised as one of the most beautiful in the world thanks to a masterful combination of modern technologies and Moroccan traditions. Sunlight, penetrating through geometric patterns on the windows and roof, creates a mesmerising play of shadows inside the building, as if you are in a Sultan's palace rather than a waiting hall. Located just a few kilometres from the historic centre, the airport serves as the perfect gateway to begin your acquaintance with the colourful "Red City".

Features and Advantages of the Airport
The main pride of the air harbour is its design. The new terminal was designed to reduce energy consumption: the façade of white diamonds not only looks spectacular but also protects the interior from the scorching African sun, filtering light much like traditional Moroccan Mashrabiya screens. The interiors are decorated with mosaics, and high ceilings create a sense of spaciousness and coolness.
From a logistics perspective, Menara is incredibly convenient for tourists. Thanks to its proximity to the city, you can reach the Medina or the modern districts of Gueliz and Hivernage in just 15–20 minutes. A special express bus No. 19 runs for passengers, with a stop located right at the terminal exit. Also, currency exchange points, Duty Free shops with local souvenirs, and lounge zones, including the Pearl Lounge where you can wait for your flight in comfort, operate within the airport territory.
However, travellers should take into account the high traffic of the airport. Marrakech is an extremely popular destination, so queues for passport control and security checks can be long, especially during peak seasons. It is recommended to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure to complete all formalities without rushing and enjoy a cup of mint tea before bidding farewell to Morocco.
