The Monument to Nikolay Muravyov-Amursky in Blagoveshchensk is a significant memorial dedicated to the outstanding statesman and Governor-General of Eastern Siberia. Located on the scenic Amur River embankment, this monument was officially opened in 1993 and has since become one of the city's landmarks, attracting both locals and visitors to Russia.

The monument consists of a three-meter bronze figure of Nikolay Nikolayevich Muravyov-Amursky, set on a tall pedestal made of concrete and faced with austere granite. The memorial plaque on the monument is inscribed: "Nikolay Nikolayevich Muravyov-Amursky 1809 – 1881," commemorating the years of his life and work.
A specific detail of the composition holds special symbolic meaning: in his left hand, the Governor-General holds a scroll. This scroll symbolizes the historical document confirming that the left bank of the Amur belongs to the Russian state. It was this event, the "good news" (blagaya vest), that gave the city of Blagoveshchensk its name. The Muravyov-Amursky monument is also notable for being the first monument in the city to face the rising sun, adding a touch of poetic symbolism.
