The climate in Taksimo can be described as sharply continental, which is typical for the northern regions of Transbaikalia. During this period, the number of rainy days increases significantly, reaching its peak in June and July. Autumn arrives rapidly, and by October, stable freezing temperatures return.

If your trip is planned for the period from November to March, be sure to take high-quality thermal underwear, woollen sweaters, and a reliable down jacket with a hood. Pay special attention to footwear — it should be insulated, have thick soles, and be non-slip. A hat, scarf, and warm mittens are mandatory accessories for protection against the frost.

Summer in the settlement is short and moderately warm but is characterised by high humidity. In July, the air warms up on average to +17...+22°C, however, this is a time of frequent rainfall: rains can occur for more than half the month. Travellers will find not only t-shirts useful but also a waterproof jacket, a raincoat, or a sturdy umbrella. Since temperature drops between day and night can be perceptible, use the principle of layering: a fleece jacket or hoodie will help you feel comfortable on cool evenings.

In the off-season, the weather is extremely unstable, so a windproof jacket and comfortable trekking shoes will become your best companions for walks. Besides clothing, do not forget about protective products: in summer, insect repellent will be useful, and in winter — a rich cream and lip balm to protect your skin from windburn in the severe frost.
